The Kazakh booth at the National Asian Heritage Festival last weekend in Washington D.C. I discovered that Kazakhs don't look anything like Borat. They had some tasty Kazakh treats for sale, such as baursaks (fried dough balls), irimshik (dried cheese balls), and kurt (dried cheese and whey), which I now regret not trying.
